To become an exhibitor

 

Aurora Chamber members can sign-up for the 2012 Aurora Home Show at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2011. Members are required to sign-up in person to get first pick of booth space.

Selling to non-chamber members will commence on Wednesday, November 9, 2011, on a first come, first served basis. We encourage you to take advantage of the benefits of membership in the Aurora Chamber of Commerce.

Booth Allocation
In order to ensure the proper exhibitor mix, the Chamber reserves the right to co-ordinate Booth locations and, at our discretion, to limit the number of exhibitors in any one category and to refuse entry. We also reserve the right to remove any products that have not been previously listed on your application form. Failure to comply with Chamber and facility rules, outstanding balances or issues contrary to the Code of Conduct as outlined on the back of the Exhibitor Contract may affect your acceptance into the show.

Sale of Booths to Chamber Members
The Aurora Chamber of Commerce will commence selling booths to Chamber members at 8:30 am on Tuesday, October 18, 2011. Exhibitor booths will be sold on a first come, first served basis to Chamber members in person only.

Sale of Booths to Non-Chamber Members
We will commence selling exhibitors booth(s) to Non- Chamber Members on Wednesday, November 9, 2011, on a first come, first served basis. We encourage you to take advantage of the benefits of membership in the Aurora Chamber of Commerce.

Please be aware of the following guidelines regarding the sale of booths and table spaces:

  • Registration will only be accepted if accompanied by a 50% deposit, plus a post-dated cheque or credit card payment dated February 15, 2012 for the balance.
  • On Tuesday, October 18, 2011, one person can only reserve exhibitor booth(s) on behalf of one company.
  • Exhibitors must maintain their own third party liability protection. Also, we require a third party liability insurance certificate from each exhibitor in the amount of $1 million, naming the Aurora Chamber of Commerce as co-insured. Please ensure that this certificate accompanies your application for booth space.
  • No member will be allowed to sign up at the member price if annual fees, which are due, have not been paid. It is understood that members who are invoiced between January 1 and March 31, 2012, will pay their membership fee before the opening of the show on April 13, 2012.

PLEASE REVIEW THE "TERMS AND CONDITIONS" ON THE PAGES FOLLOWING YOUR EXHIBITOR CONTRACT

Drapes, Electricity, Tables, Chairs & Carpeting

Draperies and one 110 volt (max. 15 amp) electrical outlet will be provided for all indoor exhibits. If your electrical requirements are different than specified, kindly contact Greg Maltby at Maltby Electric (416) 989-2244 to make the necessary arrangements at your own cost. Extension cords are not provided. All electrical equipment must be CSA approved. Carpeting, chairs and tables for your booth are not provided by the Chamber. A rental order form will be emailed to you after your booth
contract has been processed.. Marketplace booths are provided with a 6' skirted table.

Set-Up and Use of Loading Doors

Set-up for most exhibitors will begin on Thursday, April 12, 2012. Advance notice of a specific date and time for your booth move-in will be sent to you. This time is for use of the loading doors only. We appreciate your compliance with the date and time that you have been assigned. If there is a conflict, please let our office know (905-727-7262) and we will try to make alternate arrangements. However, all booths must be assembled by 12 noon, Friday, April 13, 2012, as the show opens at 2 p.m.

PLEASE NOTE: Any Exhibitor who causes damage to the Town of Aurora property, arising from the use of the Town facilities, shall pay for all damages, where the Exhibitor is deemed responsible. Move-in and move-out will be closely monitored by the Chamber and/or Town of Aurora officials.

Smoking

The existing "No Smoking" ban will be enforced. Both arenas at the Community Centre are NO SMOKING FACILITIES.
